Dinosaur Games Soar in Latin America: Q2 2024 Market Analysis

Latin America's fascination with prehistoric creatures has translated into a booming market for dinosaur games in the second quarter of 2024. Using data from Sensor Tower, we've seen some notable trends among the top-performing dinosaur gaming apps on the unified platform.

ARK: Survival Evolved saw a steady influx of downloads, peaking at roughly 75K in late June, and maintained a robust active user base, which surged to over 250K in the same period. The game's revenue displayed a slight fluctuation but remained around the 5K-7K range.

Another front-runner, Jurassic World™: The Game, demonstrated a remarkable spike in downloads mid-quarter, reaching over 68K, and its weekly active users climbed to a high of around 190K. The revenue for this title showed an upward trend, topping at approximately 12K by mid-June.

Its counterpart, Jurassic World Alive, also had its moments, with downloads peaking at nearly 28K in mid-April and active users reaching up to 86K. Revenue for this app saw a peak of around 12K at the end of April.

Interestingly, Ulala: Idle Adventure had a more modest performance with negligible download numbers and an active user count that hovered around the 500-600 range throughout the quarter. Revenue for this game was also on the lower end, with the highest weekly revenue recorded at just over 9K.

The newcomer De-Extinction: Jurassic, released at the end of May, showed promising growth in its first month, with downloads spiking to over 18K and active users rising to 10K. Its revenue trended similarly, with a modest start but showing potential for growth.
